Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Otherplane (“we”) collects when you visit otherplane.ai or use the Otherplane app, what we use it for, and the choices you have. Questions and requests go to [email protected].
What we collect
- Waitlist. The email address you submit on this website.
- Account. Your email address and, when you provide them or sign in with Google or GitHub, your name and profile picture. We also keep which Organizations you belong to and your role in them.
- Your work. The code, files, messages and terminal activity you and your Agents create in Otherplane, and the integrations you connect, such as GitHub repositories or an AI model account. Credentials for those integrations are stored encrypted.
- Usage. Which pages and features you use, measured without cookies. We do not record your sessions, what you type or the content of your work for analytics.
- Billing. Your Organization's plan, seats, AI model usage, payments and invoices. Stripe collects your payment details; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type and request logs, kept to operate and secure the service.
Signing in with Google or GitHub
When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. We use them only to create and secure your account, sign you in and show your profile inside Otherplane. We do not request access to your Google mail, files, contacts or calendar.
We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We share it only with the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf. Signing in with GitHub does not give Otherplane access to your repositories; that requires connecting GitHub separately inside the app.
How we use it
We use personal data only for these purposes, each with the legal basis that permits it.
- To provide Otherplane: running your Instances, Agents and integrations, and letting you work with your team. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- To sign you in and keep Otherplane secure, including request and security logs. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting accounts and the service.
- To send service messages such as login codes. Basis: performing our contract with you. Invitations to people who do not yet have an account rely on the legitimate interest of the Organization that invites them.
- To contact people on the waitlist about access to Otherplane. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To bill your Organization for its plan and usage. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- To understand how Otherplane is used and fix what does not work, through aggregate, cookieless analytics. Basis: our legitimate interest in improving the product. You can object at any time.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping invoices and payment records for tax and accounting, and responding to lawful requests. Basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We use these providers to run Otherplane. They may only process personal data on our instructions.
- WorkOS: sign-in, sessions and invitations.
- Google Cloud: hosting in the European Union, and delivery of our emails.
- Scaleway: the machines your Instances run on, in the European Union.
- Mixpanel: product analytics, stored in the European Union.
- Stripe: payments, subscriptions and invoices.
When you connect an integration, the provider you chose receives what is needed for it to work. For example, the AI model provider you select receives the prompts and context your Agents send to it, and GitHub receives the changes your Agents push. Those providers handle that data under their own terms.
We may disclose personal data when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies
The app sets cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember the Organization you last used. We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising, and this website sets no cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep account data and your work for as long as your account exists, and waitlist entries until you join or ask us to remove them. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email.
